Not disclosed. In a joint venture, SGTM is executing the structural works package (Lot 1) and the fit-out package (Lot 2) for the new Ibn Sina University Hospital in Rabat, a project to rebuild the historic hospital on its original site. Launched in 2020, the project involves the construction of an ultra-modern hospital tower of around 40 floors (540 beds) with state-of-the-art technical facilities (operating theatres, intensive care units) and a biomedical research center.
SGTM is responsible for the high-rise reinforced concrete structures, requiring the use of climbing formwork and long-reach concrete pumps to cast the tower cores and floor slabs. The works also include the construction of basements (parking facilities and emergency shelters) and prefabricated façade elements (modular façades integrating glazed frames and solar shading) under Lot 2. Site constraints (partial continuation of existing hospital services, dense urban surroundings) require SGTM to apply strict phasing and reinforced noise and cleanliness control measures.
The final delivery date is scheduled for 2024, with the hospital expected to be operational in 2025. (Note: Few detailed public sources on this project are available to date; the above information is reconstructed from official announcements and general knowledge about the future CHU.)
