SGTM carried out the construction works for the new Casa-Voyageurs station dedicated to the Tangier–Casablanca high-speed rail (LGV). This landmark project, awarded to SGTM in March 2016, was delivered at the end of 2018, just before the inauguration of the Al Boraq TGV. Designed by Yassir Khalil and ABDR, the modern station is sized to accommodate a future capacity of 20 million passengers per year (up from the current 7 million).
SGTM built three interconnected buildings, including a large passenger hall with a steel structure, commercial spaces, and a business center, as well as the renovation of the existing tower (future ONCF museum). The works were phased to maintain uninterrupted railway operations. SGTM also constructed five platforms (17,000 m²) with covering canopies and a 300-space underground car park (9,600 m²). The 95,000 m² of exterior works included a multimodal forecourt, drop-off lanes, and an adjacent business hub.
With an allocated budget of approximately MAD 390 million, SGTM overcame the technical challenge of building above operational tracks, using temporary gantries and night-time work schedules. Commissioned in 2018, the Casa-Voyageurs LGV station now offers an optimized travel experience and serves as a catalyst for urban regeneration in its district.
