Réalisations

The Tiouine Dam, built by SGTM between 2010 and 2013, is a compacted earthfill structure located in Ouarzazate Province. Standing 84 m high, it creates a large reservoir that ensures the potable water supply for the city of Ouarzazate and irrigates surrounding agricultural areas. The impoundment also serves to protect against seasonal flooding of the river. SGTM carried out this project in a remote mountainous area, mobilizing heavy earthmoving and concrete equipment. The project included an environmental component for bank protection and the relocation of affected populations.
